HR leaders Latoya Asia J.D. ’09, director of talent acquisition and workforce planning at Dominion Energy, Kristen Vaughan ’00, managing director, Operations Growth Platform at Accenture Federal Services, Clarke Havener ’80, partner at Odgers Berndtson, and Kelsey Weissgold '11, global lead for IBM's alumni program, will discuss latest trends as well as best practices for negotiating the position and salary you want or hiring the staff you need.

Latoya Asia J.D. ’09
Latoya is responsible for developing and driving talent acquisition, workforce planning/development, diversity, equity & inclusion, and employee engagement strategies to promote a diverse and inclusive work culture that attracts and retains the best and brightest to Dominion Energy. Latoya is committed to building diverse pipelines of talent to Dominion Energy and to the energy industry as a whole. Prior to this position, Latoya spent over 10 years in various roles as both outside and in-house labor and employment legal counsel, a strategic HR business partner, and a DE&I executive.

Clarke Havener ’80
Clarke is a partner at Odgers Berndtson with the aerospace, defense & national security practice. Clarke is based in Odgers Berndtson’s Washington, D.C., office. He was most recently the global sector leader for the world’s largest aerospace, defense and national security sector with Korn Ferry, where he spent 11 years. Clarke was previously a partner with Russell Reynolds Associates and led the firm’s fastest-growing sector, the aerospace, defense and national security sector, for 10 years and was a member of the firm’s board services practice. He managed his own firm for 10 years and had previous experience in business and loan restructuring and sales and marketing.

Kristen Vaughan ’00
Kristen is a managing director at Accenture Federal Services, leading the operations growth platform. Prior to this role Kristen lead the human capital practice. She brings over 20 years of experience in talent management, leadership development, learning, organization design, HR processes and systems, change enablement and process improvement. Her work at Accenture has centered on large scale business transformation efforts to prepare organizations for new processes and technology through transformational change.

Kelsey Weissgold '11
Kelsey currently serves as the Global Lead for IBM's Alumni Program. She is passionate about creating opportunities and connections for job seekers, particularly working with early career talent. In her 7 years at IBM, Kelsey has helped to bring improvements and standardization to IBM's Intern and Early Professional programs worldwide, managed operations for North America Early Professional Hiring, and worked directly with colleges and universities to identify top talent for IBM. Prior to her start at IBM, Kelsey began her career as a Federal Strategy and Operations Consultant at Deloitte and segued into Talent Acquisition as a University Recruiter at Grant Thornton. Kelsey is a member of the National Association of College and Employers (NACE), having served on several committees, presented at three national conferences, and received the NACE 2020 Catalyst Award. Kelsey is currently the chair of the William & Mary Employer Advisory Board. When not at work, she enjoys spending time with her family (i.e., chasing her toddler around), relaxing with a good book, and exploring the Richmond, VA food scene.
